Palmer Street Coffeehouse

Palmer Street Coffeehouse Sets Stage for 22nd Season

“Our loyal audience loves Palmer Street.” says coffeehouse coordinator, Jody Lawson. “It’s a real compliment that they trust us to bring in the finest local and regional acts on the first Friday of each month”.

Blues artist Joan Crane opens this season on October 2nd with bassist Steve Feinbloom. “Joan’s the real deal”, says Lawson. “All the musicians admire her guitar playing. Her strong, local following will help us kick off another great year”.

Adirondack favorite Roy Hurd performs with his daughter, Meadow Merry in November, with Patti Casey and Steve Light in December. “Patti just took over last time she was here with her music, storytelling and charm,” added Lawson. January was the traditional date for local bluegrass legend Doug Knight and his band. “We were huge fans, so Doug’s passing hit us hard. Tim Hartnett was a dear friend of Doug’s, so we’re thrilled Tim and Julie Canepa will be here on January 1st”.

The rest of the lineup is Too Tall String Band in February, Vermont’s Big Spike Bluegrass Band in March, Master Minstrel, Harvey Reid returns in April, Beartracks in May, and Eddie and Kim Lawrence close out the season in June.
