RE After HONK

Hi all,
Everyone has been working hard to make HONK a bit hit - and it is. Bravo.
Just wanted to give you a view of what RE life will be like after the show:
RE MEETING!!! April 8: 7-8pm at Palmer Street. There is the urgent business of this summer's RE training at Ferry Beach to discuss -
Ferry Beach in Maine holds an annual summer camp for UU families. This year it will run from 7/5 - 7/11. Training for RE teachers will be provided as well as summer UU activities for children. To build our core group of RE teachers, our fellowship will provide some funding for families to attend. People who are interested can look at the Ferry Beach website - www.ferrybeach.org
Adults who attend Ferry Beach will be asked to facilitate a planning workshop for our RE volunteers and teachers at our annual Twin Valleys gathering. If you have questions please contact me or Mary Ward.
April 13: Earth Day preparations (Annette, Lindamarie and others.)
April 20: Earth Day preparations (Michelle, Tory and Norm?, Lindamarie
and others.)
It's important that all the kids come on these two dates. There will be
dancing and chanting and singing to prepare for.......
April 27: Earth Day Intergenerational Service.
May 4: Pyramids Sunday (this isn't confirmed yet, I'll let you know.)
If the kids do go to Pyramids, that weekend will be used to paint the
classrooms, clean the floor and put up curtains. If you like to paint or
just want to see our RE classrooms look beautiful please save the date,
May 3 or 4. I'll confirm as soon as I know about Pyramids.
May 11-June 15: For the last weeks of our RE year, lessons will focus on our principles. There will be some Sunday morning field trips to support these lessons.
June 22: Flower Communion
June 29: End of RE year party!
This is the rest of the year in a nutshell. I'll keep you updated. I hope to see you all at the April 8th meeting.
